About this policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Glim uses cookies and similar browser storage on joinglim.com. Glim is a private, invite-only network for founders, run by JPA Prime of 20 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU, England.
Effective date: 7 October 2026.
What cookies and similar storage are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They let a site remember things between pages and visits, for example that you are signed in. Similar technologies, such as the local storage built into your browser, keep small amounts of information in much the same way without using a traditional cookie.
We use both cookies and similar browser storage. In this policy we use the word "cookies" as a general term for both, unless we say otherwise. We group what we use into: strictly necessary, preferences, product analytics, and session replay and advertising.
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for Glim to work and cannot be switched off. They are set only in response to actions you take, such as signing in, and they do not track you for advertising.
- Authentication and session cookies, set by our authentication provider, which keep you signed in as you move around the service.
- A temporary PKCE verifier cookie, used during sign-in to complete the log-in securely.
- A short-lived cookie named glim_invite, used only during sign-up with LinkedIn to carry your invite through the process (it expires within about 15 minutes).
Because these cookies are needed to sign in and use your account, refusing or blocking them will stop sign-in from working.
Preferences
This storage remembers a choice you have made so the service behaves the way you expect.
- Your chosen light or dark theme, which is saved in your browser's local storage rather than in a cookie.
Product analytics
We use product analytics to understand how the service is used so that we can run and improve it. We rely on our legitimate interests for this, so it is always on and is not part of the cookie banner.
- PostHog, which we use for product analytics across the service.
If you would prefer we did not include you in our product analytics, contact us at odil@joinglim.com and we will exclude you.
Session replay and advertising
These are not essential, and we set them only where you have given your consent through the cookie banner.
- Microsoft Clarity, which we use for session replay and heatmaps to see how our pages are used.
- A Reddit advertising pixel, which we use on our public marketing pages only, to measure our advertising.
How to control or refuse cookies
You can control or refuse the cookies that are not essential in two ways.
- In the product: when you first visit, a small cookie banner lets you accept or decline the session-replay and advertising cookies (Microsoft Clarity and the Reddit pixel). If you decline, or make no choice, we do not load them.
- In your browser: most browsers let you block or delete cookies and similar storage through their settings, and you can clear the local storage used for your theme preference in the same place.
Please note that strictly necessary cookies cannot be refused through these controls without affecting the service. If you block them, you will not be able to sign in.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we add or change the tools we use. When we do, we will update the effective date shown above. Please check back from time to time to see any changes.
